LETTERS FOR TRAYVON MARTIN- Calling All Writers & Hoodie Wearers, Black Twin Cities Magazine NEEDS YOU!

How has the Trayvon Martin murder affected you?  Black Twin Cities wants to know, and is giving you a chance to be included in the next issue of our magazine!

 
There are three ways to make your voice heard:

  1. Send in a picture of youself wearing a HOODIE!
    • Hoodie shots will grace the front cover and possible be included throughout the magazine.
    • Picutres should be a head shot or waist up (no full body shots please)
    • Pictures should be at least 300 dpi
    • Picture should include only you
    • You must own the rights to the picture
  2. OR email us a letter regarding how the Trayvon Martin murder has affected you, its implications on race relations in American or your reaction to some some aspect of the case or investigation.
    • Black Twin Cities reserves the right to edit  letters for grammar (content may also be edited to adjust length of article).
    • your letter must be an original work (written by you)
  3. OR do both (send in a pic AND a letter)!

Black Twin Cities will choose enough pictures and letters to fill our next magazine, so start sending in your submissions TODAY!

DEADLINE:  All submissions received by April 25, 2012 will be considered for publication.

Send your picture or letter to magazine@blacktwincities.com (write “Letters for Trayvon” in the subject) and we will let you know if you will be included in the next issue of Black Twin Cities Magazine!

  • All submissions will become the property of Black Twin Cities and may be used in any Black Twin Cities’ publication either in-print or online going forward.
  • Submissions will not be return to submitter.
  • Writers of chosen written submisions included in the magazine will be given credit.

BTC On Location – Prayer Vigil – Stop the Killing in Minneapolis

On Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 12-noon, KG Wilson of Hope Ministries and the spokesperson for the Charez Jones Foundation asked that 100 Bishops, Pastors, Deacons and Laymen join him on the corner of Lake Street and Blaisdell Avenue south (the parking lot of Super Value) to hold a peaceful prayer vigil to “Stop the Killing.”

Black Twin Cities was there to help spread this important message.
