Black Twin Cities is happy to say that Robyne Robinson will be featured in a SPNN/TPT/MN Humanities documentary on “Firsts: Minnesota’s African American Groundbreakers”.
Robyne Robinson was the first African American woman to anchor a prime-time news cast in the state of Minnesota, and continues to make us proud as the CEO & Founder of ROX Minneapolis jewelry.
You can see segmented 10 minute clips of all the interviews categorized by name on the Minnesota Humanities Center link: http://www.mnhum.org/video/cbm.cfm.
SPNN will be airing “Firsts” on the following dates:
Fri 08/19/11       7:00 pm
Sat 08/20/11      8:00 am
Sun 08/21/11     11:00 pm
Tue 08/23/11     7:00 pm
Fri 08/26/11       7:00 pm
Check your local listings.  SPNN is Channel 19 in St. Paul. TPT is planning on airing “Firsts” some time late summer or early fall.
Robyn says,”It was only because of your support over the years that this honor happened.  I’m proud to have represented Minnesota on the air or 20 years, as the second African-American candidate for Lt. Governor in Minnesota, and all of you — as a woman, an activist and a friend.”
